Astronaut Stephanie Wilson is an engineer and NASA astronaut. She flew to space onboard three Space Shuttle missions, and she is the second Black woman in space (after Dr. Mae Jemison). Her 42 days in space are the most of any Black astronaut, male or female. Most recently, Astronaut Wilson serves as CapCom (Capsule Communication) at Johnson Space Center in Houston for the historic all-female spacewalk aboard the International Space Station. CapCom is the astronaut who on Earth who communicates with crew members on the craft.
