Cailin Simpson is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Systems Engineering at Colorado State University, with a research focus in applications of data science and data analytics. Her career interests include combining data science, engineering, and architecture. A strong advocate for diversity in STEM and society, she is also a co-chair of the CSU Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Committee for the Department of Systems Engineering; a mentor for the vGHC 2020 Speed Mentoring Session; and the Community Outreach Chair for the Society for Imaging Science and Technology’s Printing for Fabrication 2020 Conference.

Fun Fact: She is an animal lover who has a Yorkie-Poodle and a rescue Pit-mix. She’s also a bonus mom to a cat!
