Dr. Aprille Ericsson-Jackson is the first Black female to earn a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Howard University and the first Black female to earn a Ph.D. in engineering at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She also regularly speaks to students and adults from marginalized groups on pursuing STEM degrees and careers.
