Dr. Betty Wright Harris is a chemist who was also a leading expert on explosives, environmental remediation, and hazardous waste treatment. Her career spans academia (including faculty positions at Mississippi Valley State University and Southern University) as well as IBM and Los Alamos National Laboratory. She ended her career with the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Classification as a certified document reviewer.
