Dr. ClarLynda Williams-Devane is the Director of the State Center for Health Statistics at the NC Department of Health and Human Services. She previously included served as an Associate Professor of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at NC Central University, as well as the founding chair of the Department of Data Science and Bioinformatics at Fisk University.  Dr. Williams-DeVane expertise has resulted in the creation of “unique joint majors between data science and social justice/history/political science, where students are empowered to digest, analysis, and interpret data for themselves and others.”
