Dr. Jeanette Epps is an astronaut and engineer. She was selected by NASA in 2009 and currently serves in the ISS Operations Branch, where her responsibilities include supporting space station crews. Prior to NASA, Dr. Epps performed research on automobile collision location detection and countermeasure systems for the Ford Motor Company (where she was awarded a U.S. patent), and the CIA (where she served as a Technical Intelligence Officer).
