Dr. Julius H. Taylor was the second Black person to earn a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Pennsylvania. During his 45-year career in higher education, he served as a physics professor and former chair of the Department of Physics at Morgan State University. He is also highly recognized for his commitment to mentorship, including students in Baltimore public schools. Dr. Taylor’s research focused on X-Ray Diffraction, resistance of Germanium, semiconductors.
