Dr. Manu Platt is a world-renowned researcher who focuses on cardiovascular disease, sickle cell disease, HIV, and tissue remodeling. His research team, known as the Platt Lab, fuses engineering, cell biology, and physiology to understand how cells sense, respond, and remodel their immediate mechanical and biochemical environments for repair and regeneration in health and disease. This knowledge is then translated to clinics domestically and internationally to address global health disparities. In addition to research, Dr. Platt also speaks regularly on diversity and inclusion in STEM.
