Dr. Ramsey Smith began his career as a Research Space Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), where his research areas included instrument development for remote sensing spacecrafts, planetary atmospheric chemistry, chemical kinetics, instrument science/ light instrument calibration (TIRS on Landsat 8, which is currently in orbit), and the infrared spectroscopy of chemical species relevant to planetary atmospheres. He then transitioned into the NASA GSFC Lead for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program and the Program Lead for the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Geaux (pronounced “Go”) Strategic and Technologies, a Washington, DC-based innovation agency that provides strategy, research & development, and commercialization services for science and technology-based entrepreneurs and research faculty.
