Dr. Walter Allen, Jr. is currently an educator at Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory, where he teaches calculus, pre-calculus, algebra I, and introductory physics. His experience includes internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, the National Solar Observatory, and the chemical engineering department at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Allen’s dissertation was titled, “The Canonical Proper-time Applied to Particles and Fields.” After earning his Ph.D., he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Solar Observatory in Tucson, AZ, where he studied local helioseismology under Dr. Frank Hill. His experience as an educator includes positions at Pima Community College, Mesa Community College, Arizona State University, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, and two high schools.
