General Hugh G. Robinson was the first Black person to serve as a general officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers.

General Hugh G. Robinson was the first Black person to serve as a general officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers. Under President Lyndon B. Johnson, he was also the first Black soldier to serve as a military aide to the president. Following his military career, he also established a career in industry, serving in several leadership positions throughout Dallas ,TX.
