Mr. Frederick M. Jones was an inventor and World War II veteran who developed refrigeration units used to transport blood, medicine, and food during the war. A self-taught mechanical and electrical engineer, Mr. Jones owned over 61 patents, the large majority of which were related to refrigeration. He also built a transmitter for his local town’s radio station and created technology to combine moving pictures with sound.
