Mr. Roy Clay, Sr. is considered one of the founders of Silicon Valley and was a 2003 inductee into the Silicon Valley Engineering Council’s Hall of Fame. He was responsible for leading Hewlett-Packard’s first computer division, which included the development of the company’s first computer (2116A). Mr. Clay also worked to employ more Black employees at Hewlett-Packard, and he eventually formed his own company, ROD-L Electronics, Inc.
