Dr. Laila Boisselle is one of a small group of researchers worldwide whose expertise lies in Indigenous (First Nations/Aboriginal) Knowledges, particularly Indigenous (First Nations/Aboriginal) Sciences. Her work rests in decolonising methodologies and culturally responsive science pedagogy. Dr. Boisselle is also currently an Executive Board Member for the International Organisation for Science and Technology Education (IOSTE), a UNESCO recognised NGO. At IOSTE, she represents The Caribbean and Central American interests. She holds a substantial body of experience: she has been involved in science pedagogy as a teacher, teacher-educator, academic, researcher, and curriculum and programme developer, evaluator and manager across varying levels of the education system in both the Caribbean and the Middle East.
